Nothing Phone (2a) Spotted at the TUV Certification; Check Key Specifications

Nothing is gearing up to unveil a new smartphone placed under its flagship Nothing Phone (2). The new device will be dubbed Nothing Phone (2a) and will come with a lower price and toned-down specs when compared to the Phone (2). The device recently appeared on the TDRA certification website with the A142 model number. Today, the upcoming smartphone appeared on the TUV certification website (via MySmartPrice) which revealed some key details.

The listing on the TUV certification reveals that the device will boast 45W fast-charging support. Apart from that, the listing does not confirm much about the smartphone. However, the appearance of multiple certifications is good proof of the deviceโ€™s imminent launch. Even Nothing Founder and CEO, Carl Pei, has been teasing the launch of a new smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2a).

Nothing Phone (2a) Key Specifications

According to the leaked specifications, the Nothing Phone (2a) will come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the Phone (2a) will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset. It will come in two variants. One will have 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of Internal Storage, the other will have 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Internal Storage.

In terms of optics, the Nothing Phone (2a) will come with a 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL S5KGN9 primary camera. It will also have a 50 MP ISOCELL JN1 ultrawide shooter. For selfies and video calls, the device will come with a 16 MP shooter. In terms of software, the device will run Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5 straight out of the box. The smartphone will draw its power from a 4,290 mAh battery.

The Nothing Phone (2a) will sell in Black and White colors, similar to the flagship lineup.

We expect Nothing to start teasing the new smartphone soon. Considering the number of certifications popping out, itโ€™s just a matter of time until the phone gets an official release.
