Like a lot of smartphone companies, Motorola is no stranger to wearable devices – despite overwhelmingly lukewarm reception to its previous Moto Watch 100, the Lenovo-owned brand has pushed forward with the launch of the new Moto Watch 40, which is priced at just around $65.00.
The Moto Watch 40 adopts a rectangular design akin to most fitness bands and affordable wearables on the market, and packs a 1.57-inch LCD display packed into an aluminum case which comes in black and rose gold variants. It’s also rated for IP67 dust and water protection, and supports interchangeable straps for a bit of customization.
As for software and fitness tracking, Motorola says that the device is designed to work with Google Fit, making it ideal for users looking for a wearable that can easily integrate with google’s first-party health metrics app. The Watch 40 runs on Motorola’s own Moto Watch OS, and comes with built-in sensors such as an accelerometer, heart rate monitor, as well as SPO2 tracking. The device also comes with over 85 customizable watch faces, and up to ten days of battery life.
Users interested in the Motorola’s new wearable can check it out on their website, where it’s already available for purchase.
