How to turn off AutoPlay (AutoRun) in Windows XP?
- Click “Start” and then click “Run”
- Type “gpedit.msc”
- In “Group Policy” select “Computer Configuration” -> “Administrative Templates” -> “System”
- In the right pane of “System”, and then double click ”Turn off Autoplay”
- In Setting tab, select “Enabled” for “Turn off Autoplay”
- Click “OK” to confirm
